Winter's first Full Moon 🌕
Slow down. Winter has just begun,
Throw your New Year’s Resolutions in the garbage.
Stop pushing yourself to work harder, to do more, to change everything about your life in the middle of winter.
Now is not the time!
Follow the ques of Earth, go into hibernation, let everything fade away.
Stay inside.
Do less.
January is the middle of winter, energetically she does not align with your society driven desires to push yourself towards new goals.
Wait until Spring, and you will see how much easier it is to put the work in and bloom with the flowers.
Go within, reflect on how you’ve been living and what you truly want.
Ground down, be completely present with where you are now.
Winter is not the time to make big changes or put in hard work.
You will be swimming against the current, all the hard work put in during the winter will take 10Xs the effort than if you were to just wait until spring.
Let tonight’s full moon guide you through this winter. Ask her what she wants you to do, how she wants you to rest and take care of yourself.
You can still have big dreams and still be moving towards them, but in a more gentle way.
Think of this winter as prep for the energy and effort you will put out in the spring.
Take this winter to truly rest, reset, relax.
Make plans, but don’t worry about executing them just yet.
You can truly do nothing at all and everything will be okay.
We love to think of January as a time to do more, but most people drop off and quit their new years resolutions before the end of winter. This is because you are fighting against the energy of the season. She wants you to rest.
Sleep in, take longer baths, read fiction, watch movies, eat yummy food, lay in bed, meditate, practice gentle yoga.
I dare you to spend this entire season focused on taking care of yourself, slowing all the way down, being more present.
